My MAC Collection

If you have been reading this blog for a while then you will know that I am a big collector of MAC cosmetics, and over the last couple of years I have managed to accumulate quite the collection. I have seen other people's collections on blogs & YouTube which makes mine look extremely minimal, but to me, I think know that I have far too much! (if you can have 'too much').
Believe it or not, I do get to use everything I have, some more often than others, but none of it just sits in a drawer never to be seen again that's for sure! I personally love having a nosey at bloggers makeup collection, especially when it comes to their MAC collection. MAC is a brand I have loved for so many years now and I feel like I've really got to know all of their products and what suits me. So that being said, I thought it was time that I shown my own collection...

This is my most treasured collection of lip products. MAC lipsticks are my most favourite makeup product and I don't think I will stop collecting them until I have every single one that I adore!

Red - Ruby woo, all fired up, MAC red.
Pink - Pink nouveau, Saint Germain, Snob, Impassioned, Show orchid, Flat out fabulous, Angel, Politely pink, Viva glam miley, Sunny Seoul, Lovelorn
Nude - Hue, Brave, Velvet teddy, Only you, Viva glam V
Orange - Saigon summer, Vegas volt
Berry/dark - Rebel, Dark side, Sin, Diva

Lip Liner in Whirl, Stone, Current, Cherry, Magenta
Lip Glass 4X all Limited Edition

I use more or less all MAC products on my face day to day. I really get on with their foundations although many people tend to stay away from them for various reasons. The 'mineralise skin finish natural' is my go to powder and what I use to touch up through out the day, so far I haven't found another face powder that I like more!

2X studio sculpt foundation NC25
Studio fix fluid foundation NC25
2X face and body foundation C1 & C3
Select cover up concealer NC20
3X mineralise skin finish natural in Medium
Bronzer in refined golden
Bronzer in bronze
Mineralise skin finish in soft and gentle
Mineralise skin finish in luminoso
Prep & Prime Fix+
Cream colour base in Luna
Shadester contour bronzer
Mineralise blush in petal power
Powder blush in well dressed
Powder blush in pinch me
Ellie Goulding blush & bronzer duo

Eyes are what I take most of my pride in, especially on nights out. There's nothing I love more than a dramatic smokey eye or an intense glitter pigment packed on to the lid. But I do, however, own my trusty eyeshadow quad filled with my four every day holy grail shades that I could not be without. In my opinion, MAC eye shadows are definitely one of the best, if not the best, on the market!

Eyeshadows in Satin taupe, naked lunch, patina, cranberry, coppering, girlie, beauty marked, sumptuous olive, omega X2, mystery, nylon, steamy, beautiful iris, sable & mulch.
Into the well eyeshadow
Limited edition eyeshadow duo (not sure of colours, sorry!)
2X eyeshadow gloss
4X limited edition pigments
Penultimate eye liner
Eye Pencil in Smolder
Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown
Brushes - 217 X2, 239, 266, 208
2X Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara
Pigment in Bronze Sparkle
Painterly Paint Pot

All products (excluding limited editions) can be purchased online at MAC Cosmetics.

So, I think that is everything in my collection! I will definitely continue collecting MAC products so every 6 months or so I will be posting my updated collection and of course will continue writing reviews on MAC products! Thanks for reading.

The Trip Of A Lifetime - My Disney World Planning

Hello & welcome back to the third instalment of my Florida Trip planning!
If you missed my last update telling you all my Top Florida Tips then *click here* and if you are new to the Disney World section of this blog then *click here* to get clued up!

Right, now that's out of the way, this post is going to be all about MY trip - what I've booked, where I booked it, how I booked it and most importantly why I booked it. This will hopefully help you with the booking process of your holiday and help you decide on what exactly you want from it. It's a holiday like no other and there is so much to think about!

We are flying out from Gatwick on the 19th June for 17 nights with Virgin. These are direct flights which was very important to me as there is no way I could mess around going indirect. I seem to have quite a curse over me with holidays where things always tend to go wrong, so if I can prevent that by making things as easy as possible, then I will do! We have pre booked our seats on the plane (at an eye watering cost of £100 *cry*) but this was for peace of mind, I would hate to be away from my partner for nearly 9 hours. We did, however, manage to book 'The Bubble' seats. For those that don't know, this is the economy upper deck of a virgin plane, it only has 33 seats which makes it quieter and the staff seem to be more attentive, you also stand a good chance of being one of the first off the plane. It can be quite difficult to secure a seat here so booking early is a must!
We booked our flights with our accommodation at Kenwood Travel, they were by far the cheapest we found and completely changed my mind of booking everything separately to save money. Although I have never booked with them before, I have heard great things about them and so far I have no complaints!

We are staying offsite (not on Disney property) for our holiday with a cheeky couple of days onsite at Universal Orlando at the Hard Rock Hotel which I am super excited about! We are returning to our hotel from last year - Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando. We loved this hotel, it's basic but clean, cheap and cheerful! Which is all you want when you are on this type of holiday. If you do want to have a day relaxing, they have three decent size pools with loads of sunbeds for you to chill out. The main reason we picked this hotel, and the main reason why we are returning to it? Location, location, location. It is on the bustling International Drive, the home of restaurants, hotels, ticket offices and an endless amount of tacky gift shops. Not to mention you will also find Universal studios at one end of the drive, and Seaworld on the other, this makes it tourist heaven.

5 days in to our holiday, we have treated ourselves with a stay at the Hard Rock Hotel which is one of the Universal hotels. I'm really looking forward to this as it is one hotel (along with Disneys Grand Floridian) that I would look at in awe, wishing I was staying at such a 'cool' hotel. So I made it a necessity for this holiday that we would get to stay here. I love the idea of just taking a stroll over to the studios, or looking out of our window to see the giant red tracks of the Rip Ride Rockit coaster!
When you stay onsite at Universal, you also receive complimentary Front Of Line Passes as well as early entry into the parks! This makes a stay here even more worth it in my opinion. After doing my research I have found that Sunday and Monday nights are usually the cheapest, (although we aren't staying on either) and you should expect to pay anywhere between £250-£350 a night for a standard room. Of course, there's always a bargain to be found and you could get lucky and find it cheaper, especially at non peak times.

As we are staying offsite, we needed a car. A lot of people don't bother with a car and just use taxis or their hotels shuttle service but I personally couldn't think of anything worse than waiting for a bus in Florida heat! I also think a car would work out much cheaper after you have added up all the taxi fares you would have paid. The only thing we hate when it comes to hiring a car in America is the 'under 25 surcharge'. Being under 25 puts you in a high risk category, all car hire companies charge you anywhere from $15-$30 a day for the duration of your rental, and this adds up to a hell of a lot. Seen as my partner is not turning 25 until next year, we had no choice but to pay a surcharge. Last year we hired with Alamo which I think was $25 a day, so this time we were keen to find someone cheaper. We came across the European Car hire 'Sixt' and saw on their website that they charge only $9.99 a day and a maximum of $99 per rental! Result! This is such a huge difference to the $400+ we had to pay with Alamo last year. We booked this in a heartbeat at the very reasonable sum of £380. Quickly received my confirmation email and so far, so good! There's a lot of horror stories out their regarding car hire so I'm hoping this turns out a good one *fingers crossed*.

Lastly, the next thing we have to think about is park tickets. Them ridiculously priced things that allow you to visit the happiest place on earth and therefore forget about the extortionate prices you've had to pay to get there. We haven't bought our tickets yet, but know we will be getting the Disney & Universal combo ticket that's valid for 14 consecutive days. Although we are there for 17 days I thought it would be a waste to buy the 21 day tickets as the extra 3 days can be spent at the beach, around the pool or shopping. We also love the seaworld parks but will probably just end up buying them when we get there from somewhere on International Drive. I have been stalking all the different ticket sellers websites to try and find the best and or cheapest deal, many of them come with 'free stuff' like money off vouchers and discount cards for local shops or restaurants. Disney tickets for 2016 also includes free 'Memory Maker' which entitles you to unlimited digital photos captured by Disney photographers at the parks. I have found the most popular sites that people use are Attraction Tickets Direct, Florida Tix, Attraction Tix and Orlando Attraction Tickets. So far, Orlando Attraction Tickets are turning out to be the cheapest at a price of £434pp, so looks like we will be going with them if we buy them any time soon and the price doesn't shoot up.

We also would like to see a football (Soccer) game while we are there as we saw Orlando City last time and really loved the atmosphere. Even though my boyfriend and I are both football fans, I would highly recommend this to someone who isn't all that interested in the game as the atmosphere and overall American experience is second to none. We bought our tickets from a ticket seller on International Drive last year, but have since found that it's a lot cheaper to buy them at home through Ticket Master

So, there we have it, those were just the basics of my Florida holiday. That's the hard bit out of the way, now I need to think about itineraries, food, shopping and all the other fun stuff. Hopefully this has helped you along with your planning, or if not, I hope you've enjoyed reading the details of mine!

Keep checking my blog for more Disney/Florida related posts coming soon!

MAC Ellie Goulding Collection

Last month, the pop icon that is Ellie Goulding released her first ever collection with MAC Cosmetics. When I heard the rumours about this collection about 6 months ago and first saw the photos, I was SO excited! I'm a sucker for anything limited edition from MAC although I often find that I am too late and everything has already sold out by the time I look online. So when I received my email alert telling me that this collection had landed, I had never moved so quickly!
As it was released just before christmas, I had to have a lot of self control, so sensibly I only picked up two things from the collection. The packaging is probably my favourite thing about the products, the glossy black with a rose gold logo is so minimalistic yet classy.
The two items I bought were one of her two lipsticks in 'only you' (£17) and the powder blush duo in 'I'll hold my breath' (£23).
'Only you' is a gorgeous rosy, coral shade in a sheer, creme sheen finish, meaning it is so easy to apply and no need to mess about with lip liners or balms before hand. I love that Ellie's logo is embossed onto one side of the lipstick, it makes the product that extra bit special but also makes it look too good to use!
The powder blush duo includes a gorgeous peachy pink blush combined with a medium warm bronzer. I love duos as I find them so handy for travelling, two products in one means less to carry around! Ellie's triangular logo is also imprinted onto this product, again making it feel extra special and luxurious.

Products available in store & online at MAC Cosmetics.

Have you tried anything from the Ellie Goulding collection yet?

Top Florida Tips - My Disney World Planning

In the previous blog post (click here) I announced that I wanted to start sharing my planning experience for my Disney World holiday here on my blog. There will be a few posts going up from now up until June (which is when I go) all about my planning which people can join in with and that will hopefully help others who are going to Orlando too. There will also be just general posts that will be 'Orlando Holiday' related!

I love researching different things leading up to my holiday to help with my planning, this can be either 'How much spending money should I take?' or 'What do I need to pack?' etc etc. I came across a wonderful website called 'The dibb' which is a Disney & Florida planning forum for everyone in the UK. This has helped me MASSIVELY so I encourage you to have a look if you haven't already! Since joining this website, I have picked up so many great tips as well as sharing my own which can hopefully help others who are planning a Florida holiday. Here are just a few of my top tips for while you are out there...

General Tips

Share meals or order kids meals if you're on a budget - The portion sizes are HUGE and this is definitely something to consider if you are on a budget or generally don't eat that much.
The weather is unpredictable - Expect the heavens to open at around 2-3pm most days if travelling in summer, usually they dont last long though and you will be ready to head back out again within an hour.
Go to a theme park on your first full day - because of the time change, you will most likely be up at 5am, take advantage of this and head to a theme park nice & early so you can see the opening parade.
Start from the back - When you arrive to a theme park at opening time, to avoid big lines, start on the rides at the back of the park and make your way to the front.
Rider swap - If some of your family want to do a ride that others dont, use the 'rider swap' facility. This way one adult can stay with the person while others ride, when they come back, that adult who stayed behind can now ride without having to queue up again.
Disney Guide - Order a planning guide from the disney website, it is a great little book and is FREE of charge!
Disney Fast Pass - Make sure you plan your fast passes before you go (60 days in advance if you are staying onsite, 30 if you are offsite) below I have mentioned arguably the 3 most busiest rides at each park that I think are a must to Fast Pass.

Automatic - Most hire cars in America are Automatics. Get used to driving Automatic before you go!
Drivers Fee - If you are hiring a car, remember you need to be 21 with at least 1 years driving experience (some companies ask for 3 years) If you are under 25 however, there is a hefty surcharge of around $14-25 a day for being in a 'high risk' catergory.
Driving laws - Remember they drive on the right hand side in the states and can also turn right at a red traffic light. They also have a 'no left wheel to the kerb' rule, so when parked on the road, make sure you are not in the direction of oncoming traffic.
Plan your route - If you don't have a SATNAV, using wifi on your phone, load your route on your maps, this will then save to the phone and can still be used when you are out of range - saving the silly phone bills!

Dont pack formal - in florida no one dresses up in the evening, don't even put one slightly 'dressy' outfit in your case (like I did) will not wear it!
Empty suitcase - If you are planning on doing a lot of shopping while you are there, consider taking a suitcase inside an empty suitcase, this way you will have lots of room for goodies!
Comfy shoes - You will be doing a LOT of walking, make sure you pack your most comfortable shoes!
Tops & Shorts - Pack lots & lots of strappy tops and shorts that can mix & match.
Towels - Dont bother packing these as most hotels and villas provide them, but if you do find that you need one, Walmart only charge about $5.

First off the plane - If you are travelling economy, try booking as near to the front as possible to ensure you're one of the first off (after upper & premium) and therefore one of the first in line for immigration. If travelling Virgin, try and book the upstairs economy section as they are usually the first economy seats to get let off.
Book the 'Bubble' - If you are flying Virgin Economy, try book the upstairs. This is much more spacious than downstairs due to the small number of seats, which gives it a more premium feel and the staff are usually more attentive. There is also extra storage space next to the window seat for you to put your bag, etc.
Nervous flyer? - Take either 'Kalms' or 'Rescue Remedy' before flying to calm your nerves, available from most supermarkets and chemists.

So, some of you may or may not know that I visited Disney World in Orlando, Florida last
June. It was my third time going to Florida but because of the huuuuge 13 year gap in
between my last visit and that one, I really felt like a first timer.

For the many months leading up to it, I was obsessed with planning, from a daily itinerary for the parks to what restaurants to visit, what gifts I wanted to buy and how much spending money we would need.. I was a woman possessed.

Well, it brings me great joy to say (or type) that my boyfriend & I will be going back this year after last years amazing trip! & that brings me to this very blog post... I want to start sharing my planning experiences on here, so that hopefully, any one else who is planning a trip to the magic will be able to join in and take some tips along the way! I feel like planning is the best way to make them long, boring months of waiting go that little bit quicker.
