5 MAC Lipsticks Perfect For Autumn

L-R; Dark Side, Diva, Rebel, MAC Red, Sin

Back in July, I wrote a blog post about 5 MAC lipsticks I thought were perfect for summer (post here) so I thought I'd start the trend on my blog and do another post but this time for autumn!

MAC lipsticks really are a girls best friend and I am yet to find another brand who can rival them.
In Autumn the one thing that excites me (other than the new season clothes) is the lipstick shades you can get away with which you couldn't do in summer!

Here are the lipsticks I know I will be obsessed with this season...

Dark Side. A gorgeous dark burgundy. It is a Amplified Creme finish so it is super pigmented and also easy to apply because of the creamy texture.

Diva. This is also a dark burgundy but with more red. It is a matte finish so you will need more precision when applying but when applied right it looks so classy and gorgeous on pale skin.

Rebel. Everyone loves this perfect plum shade. It can be lightly dabbed on the lip for a light pinky purple shade or built up to a gorgeous dark plum.

MAC Red. Reds can be worn all year round but theres something about wearing them in the colder months that I really love. This shade is so easy to apply with its creamy satin finish and really adds something special to any day-to-day look.

Sin. This is a new addition to my collection. A beautiful dark shade similar to Diva but with more of a plum/brown undertone rather than red. I just know I will be wearing this constantly for the next few months!

Bring on the Autumn Lip! What shades will you be wearing this season??

Anastasia Beverly Hills 'World Traveler' Palette

Just take a second to appreciate Anastasia's STUNNING new eyeshadow palette...

I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful product as a gift from a family member who recently went to LA. I had first noticed this beaut when browsing through the Sephora website and was completely blown away by the 12 matte and shimmer shades that you could create so many great looks with.

When I received it, I wasn't disappointed. The pigmentation is amazing and I love how the selection of colours and finishes can easily transition you from day to evening. With peach and champagne tones to give you that subtle daytime look, alongside burnt oranges and smoky browns and blacks for your night on the town, this palette really has something for everyone.

I have particularly been loving the chocolatey brown shade 'Fudge' paired with the gorgeous burnt orange 'Morocco'. For the look below I applied 'Soft Peach' all over my lid before blending morocco through my crease for the transition shade and then carefully patted 'Fudge' on to my lid. I then applied the 'Pink Champagne' shade from this palette and used it in my inner corners.
I find the shadows really easy to blend and long lasting, the fact the colours go so well together made it so simple to do a quick, easy look like the one I did below.

I am completely in love with this palette, Anastasia Beverly Hills has done it once again.

If you are interested in getting this beauty I would act quick, Its limited edition!!

August Beauty Favourites

I cant believe its that time again to do another monthly favourites! This year seems to be flying by, summer is more or less over and before we know it christmas will be here (yay!)

Here are some of the beauty products I have been loving throughout the month of August with links to where you can find them....

Lush Cosmetics 'Celestial' Moisturiser. I thought I would give this one a try when I came across it in their new Oxford Street store. It is a really light moisturiser which suits my combination skin perfectly as it isn't too greasy. I have used this everyday since buying it and my skin feels so much smoother and it hasn't made me break out like some facial moisturisers can. I use it after cleansing & toning and before I apply makeup. Buy Me Here

Nars Laguna Bronzer. Everyone knows about this cult product from Nars. The perfect bronzer for all skin types that can be used to contour or quickly applied for a bronzed glow. I love that it comes with quite a large mirror so great for travelling and it seems to last ages before hitting pan. Buy Me Here

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blusher. My new favourite blush of all time is this beauty from Charlotte Tilbury in the colour 'First Love'. It gives such a natural glow with its highlight shade on the outside and a pop of colour with the gorgeous pinky coral shade in the middle. It is subtle enough for everyday but also looks gorgeous in the evening teamed with a smoky eye and nude lip. Buy Me Here

MAC Viva Glam Miley. This is such a gorgeous bright pink lipstick. I wouldn't recommend to people who aren't that brave when it comes to their lip colour as it is very daring but I personally love these types of colours, especially with my blonde hair. Its quite similar to 'Impassioned' or 'Girl About Town' from MAC. Buy Me Here

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. This drugstore mascara has literally changed my life! It is better than any high end mascara I have tried and even beats my holy grail Maybelline The Falsies. It just gives so much length and fullness to your lashes and I really liked the curved brush for easy application.  For around £7 or £8 what more could you want?! Buy Me Here

I would love to know what products you have been loving this August?
